Water and food are the basic sources of life. Without it there is no life. In Africa millions of people are suffering from the lack of clean water and food. The current crisis of the world economics is worsening the situation. Price of the food is increasing, and poor people cannot buy it anymore.
Non-governmental organizations are doing important work by helping the poor. The Finnish Evangelical Lutheran Mission is helping in Senegal for example by constructing clean water wells and by building a mill. Work is coordinated with the local partner, Lutheran church of Senegal. Work has been successful and many people have gotten access to better life.
